We travelled to Ottawa to present the Canadian Forces Personnel Support agency with our fundraising efforts for the Canadian Military Families Fund.

Mealkit Supply Canada is a proud sponsor of the Canadian Military Families fund. In 2008, we raised $3,140 to support Canadian Forces and their families who have required emergency travel or counselling.

It has been a goal of ours, since starting Meal Kit Supply, to take an active role in the Support Our Troops campaign. Many of our customers are in the Canadian Forces and it seemed a great way for us to give something back to the community.

We travelled to Ottawa to present a a cheque for our fundraising efforts.  Major Larry Dickie and CWO Jean Boivin, of the Canadian Forces Personel Support Agency, accepted our donation.

The Military Families Fund was created in April of 2007 by General Rick Hillier, the former Chief of Defence Staff to assist military families faced with unforeseen, and often immediate, needs that have resulted due to conditions of service. The fund continues to grow through the generous contributions of Canadians, corporations, and other organizations, adding a new vehicle to support Canadian Forces members and their families.
